REWARDING YOU FOR GENERATING YOUR OWN CLEAN ENERGY...

The New 'Clean Energy Cashback Scheme' - also known as the 'Feed-in tariff' has now been confirmed and will begin from the 1st April 2010. 

All Solar PV systems installed by an accredited installer, using accredited products from 1st July 2009 onwards will be eligible to receive a financial reward.

This applies to homeowners, businesses, charities, schools, housing associations, local authorities and similar and is paid based on what you generate, not what you export back. This means that for each unit of electricity your system produces, you will receive a guaranteed rate for 25 years!

The rates are as follows:

• Solar PV installations under 4kw on an existing property: 41.3p
  
• Solar PV installations under 4kw on a new-build property: 36.1p
  
• Solar PV installations between 4kw and 10kw: 36.1p
  
• Solar PV installations between 10kw and 100kw: 31.4p
  
• Solar PV installations between 100kw and 5mw: 29.3p

The above rates will be guaranteed for 25 years, and we expect clarification soon on whether the benefit is taxable. When you enquire about a system from us we will provide an indicative generation figure and a calculation based on the above, and it will be tailored to your circumstances.

Here's a quick case study:

• A 2.5kw system installed into a private home (existing) which is south-facing and benefits from a 30 deg pitched roof (unshaded) would be expected to generate around 2125 units each year. This equates to almost £900 in Clean Energy Cashback! Plus energy savings of around £150 each year!
